For the Meatballs
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Choose 93% lean for a juicy texture.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese Can substitute with nutritional yeast for dairy-free.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Opt for gluten-free for a gluten-free version.
  • 1 cup Fresh Herbs (parsley/basil) Dried herbs can be used (1 tsp dried for every tbsp fresh).
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to your taste preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Can substitute with fresh garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Can substitute with fresh onion.
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Or use Italian seasoning as a substitute.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Omit for a milder taste.
  • 1 large Egg Can substitute with a flaxseed egg.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Avocado oil works as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce Choose soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and light greasing.
  2. In a large bowl, combine fresh herbs with Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. In another bowl, mix ground turkey with the dry mixture, ensuring not to overmix.
  4. In a small bowl, beat the egg and mix with Worcestershire sauce, then combine with the turkey mixture.
  5. Wet your hands and form 1.5-inch meatballs, placing them evenly spaced on the baking sheet.
  6. Brush tops of meatballs with olive oil, then bake for 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Prepare your favorite sauce while meatballs are baking and get your serving base ready.
  8. Allow the meatballs to rest for a few minutes before serving with warmed sauce.
