  1. Begin by heating a skillet over medium heat, then add the ground beef, seasoning it generously with salt and pepper. Allow it to brown for about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Once the beef is browned, toss in the diced green bell pepper, chopped yellow onion, and minced garlic into the pan. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  3. Carefully transfer the beef and vegetable mixture into your slow cooker, ensuring you scrape the pan to include all the flavorful bits.
  4. Add in the chili powder, cumin, ground chipotle, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Stir well.
