Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together egg, flour, sugar, salt, lemon juice, almond extract, and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Roll out frozen puff pastry to a rectangular shape, about 1/8-inch thick. Cut into rectangles approximately 4 by 6 inches.
  4. Brush the edges of each pastry with milk, and bake in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Create a slight indentation in the center of each pastry. Fill with the cream cheese mixture and top with a dollop of raspberry jam.
  6. Return pastries to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
  7. Allow pastries to cool on a wire rack. Prepare a glaze by mixing confectioner’s sugar, water, and almond extract until smooth. Drizzle over cooled pastries.
  8. Sprinkle sliced almonds over the glazed pastries before serving.
