  • 2 sheets Puff Pastry store-bought
  • 1/2 cup Pesto for spreading
  • 1 medium Egg for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon Water for egg wash
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
For Garnishing
  • 6 pieces Cherry Tomatoes halved
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Leaves chopped

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry to 1/4-inch thick and cut into tree shapes.
  3. Spread a thin layer of pesto on each pastry shape.
  4. Whisk the egg and water together and brush the mixture over the pastry shapes.
  5. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over each pesto-covered tree.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Garnish with halved cherry tomatoes and chopped basil, then serve.
