Step-by-Step Instructions for Blackberry Cream Cheese Danish
  1. Puree blackberries in a blender, strain into a saucepan, simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in sugar, beaten eggs, and lemon juice, cooking until thickened. Add butter, strain again if desired, and cool.
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg yolk and vanilla, mix until combined. Set aside.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Roll out puff pastry, cut into circles, and prick the centers. Spoon cream cheese into the center and brush edges with egg wash.
