  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry High-quality all-butter pastry recommended.
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash, can substitute with dairy-free alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon Milk Can use almond or oat milk as a substitute.
For the Cream Cheese Filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Can use reduced-fat cream cheese.
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust according to berry sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Almond extract can be used instead.
For the Berries
  • 1 cup Mixed Berries Use any combo of blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries.
For the Finishing Touch
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar For dusting, optional but recommended.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into four equal squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each pastry square, followed by a handful of mixed berries.
  5. Fold the corners of each pastry square toward the center and pinch to seal.
  6. Make an egg wash by whisking together the egg and milk. Brush over the tops of the pastries.
  7. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
