Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together ¼ cup of avocado oil, ¼ cup of honey, ¼ cup of tamari, 3 minced garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder until well combined.
  2. Place your chicken thighs into a large ziplock bag or a sealed container. Pour the prepared marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is generously coated. Seal the bag or container and refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) as the chicken marinates.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange the chicken thighs in a single layer, and bake for 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Pour the leftover marinade into a saucepan, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until thickened.
  6. Remove the chicken from the oven, baste with the thickened sauce, and serve over rice, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
