- Prepare your green beans: Trim the ends and blanch fresh green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. For canned beans, drain and pat dry.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (or air fryer).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until smooth.
- Gently fold the green beans and 2/3 cup of crispy fried onions into the creamy mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, stir gently and sprinkle reserved crispy fried onions on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
