Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare your green beans: Trim the ends and blanch fresh green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. For canned beans, drain and pat dry.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (or air fryer).
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the green beans and 2/3 cup of crispy fried onions into the creamy mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. After 25 minutes, stir gently and sprinkle reserved crispy fried onions on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
