- Rinse and soak the dried red beans in water for at least 8 hours or boil for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the soaked red beans to your slow cooker and add chopped andouille sausage, smoked sausage, diced yellow onion, minced garlic, diced celery, and bay leaves.
- Pour in water or broth and stir well. Cover the slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 6 hours.
- Once done, mash some beans against the sides of the slow cooker for a creamy texture.
