Step-by-Step Instructions for Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of melted butter with 2 to 3 ripe, mashed bananas, mixing until smooth.
  3. Stir in ¾ cup of sugar, one beaten egg, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract into the banana mixture, mixing until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of salt, and gently fold in 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour until no traces of flour are visible.
  5. Combine ¼ cup of sugar with 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the greased loaf pan and sprinkle three-quarters of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
  7. Pour the remaining batter on top and level it off gently with a spatula.
  8. Create a wave-like swirl through the batter with a knife, being careful not to mix too much.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Let cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
