  • Mixing bowl
  • sharp knife
  • toothpicks
  • foil

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Gather your ingredients including the ham and glaze components.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, honey mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, and cloves until smooth.
  3. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, cutting about ½ inch deep, and place it in a roasting pan.
  4. Layer the pineapple rings across the ham and drizzle half of the glaze over it, ensuring it seeps into the scores.
  5. Cover the roasting pan loosely with foil and bake for about 1.5 hours, basting with the remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
  6. In the final 30 minutes, remove the foil to allow the glaze to caramelize, creating a crust.
  7. Once the desired temperature and caramelization are achieved, remove from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Slice the ham into thick pieces and serve, garnished with remaining pineapple rings.
